Kelly Carter, PT, CLT-LANA

Originally from Indiana, Kelly graduated in 1997 from a small private college in North Chicago. Over the years, she has had the opportunity to work in many areas of physical therapy, but the work that has truly become her passion is lymphedema and pelvic health. Kelly is a Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT-LANA) and provides care for patients with lymphedema from lipedema, circulatory issues, cancer treatments, and post-surgical recovery. She also practices glymphatic drainage, which can help patients experiencing symptoms such as brain fog, “chemo brain,” long COVID, and other neurologic or inflammatory challenges. In addition, Kelly specializes in pelvic floor therapy and incorporates techniques such as scar and visceral mobilization  to address fascial tension and other restrictions that can affect how the body moves and feels.

These areas are especially meaningful to her because they allow her to truly listen to patients, understand what they’re experiencing, and help guide them toward living more comfortably, confidently, and fully. Supporting someone on their path to feeling better — often in ways that make a big difference in everyday life — is one of the most rewarding parts of what she does.
Outside of the clinic, life keeps Kelly busy in the best ways. She and her husband are  the proud parents of two daughters in college. Their Bernedoodle is thoroughly spoiled and very much believes he runs the household. When she’s not working, Kelly loves to travel, read when time allows, and spend time with family and friends — preferably with a good glass of wine involved.
She is looking forward to this next chapter and to meeting and helping many wonderful people along the way.
