HOMETOWN STRONG MAY 2021

Hometown Strong is a way for GTS as therapists and member of community to give back to the communities that we love and live in. Each month employees of GTS donates a portion of their paycheck and GTS rounds that amount up to make a donation to a local charity. Each staff member that donates to this fund is entered into a drawing and once per month we draw a staff member name.

Angie Cadenbach chose the Viola Backpack Program to receive $1,000.

The Viola School Backpack Program started in 2016 when two students were looking to address a community/school need for a FCCLA competition. Since then the program has tripled in size. The program has solely been funded by community donations, both food and monetary. High school students in Mrs. Walker’s Leadership class are in charge of packing backpacks, shopping and organizing the food room. Backpacks are sent home with student in need each Friday.
